Description

Very well pleased with this one.  This is a Dutch man-o-war of c.1670-1680 or so.  Note some innovations in rig of the period; both fore and main topsail wear triangular studding sails, and although it's difficult to make out she also is carrying a fore topmast staysail (hence why her spritsail topsail and spritsail are furled), and main and main topmast staysails.  Also note the reef bands in her topsail and courses; reefing had been (re)introduced a bit earlier in the century.  No topgallants are carried as the rig is flexible enough thanks to reefing.

(In case you don't know, reefing is a method of shortening sail; numerous ropes are secured through the canvas in a horizontal band, and when the wind strengthens these are hauled up to the yard and secured.  This largely replaced the earlier system of bonnets, which were additional sections of sail laced to the foot of the courses as needed.)

I've got too much work to do.

The swell of the sails match the yaw of the ship. Not sure why that detail stuck out at me, but it's certainly a nice touch. Well done.
