I seem to end up drawing Erin d'Iusoin the most out of all the crew of the Silverfish for some reason, despite her being a lesser main character. Here she is in what might finally be the end design for armour for the Silverfish's Marines. Note that the ponytail/topknot is not at all canon; it sort of took on a life of its own and said "draw me really, really excessively long so I can loop around that sword hilt there.
Anyway... notice what's missing? Huh? Huh?
That's right. NO CROSSHATCHING CRAZINESS. Hell, no hatching of any sort, even. Usually i start in on the shading before I even finish the lines (hell, a lot of the time I'm inking the top part of something while the bottom is still scribbly pencilly bits). But this time I made an effort to complete the whole line stage without starting in on any other stages...
This took longer than it ought to have, but it's part of a present so that's okay. The full (and silly) drawing should show up in a day or two.
If for some reason anyone wanted to colour this, just ask and I'd gladly send the full size file. I plan on using it for colouring practice myself. I'd be more than curious to see what someone competent could do with my shaky linework.

oh, yeah, usual stuff, rapidographs, bristol, about 5" high or so.
MURDER!
I DO want to colour these lines, but I'm a pixel artist and there's no way in hell I'd work on something that large. So I took your lines, mashed them down to 1/5th original size (I think) and re-drew the lines over it again. I really hope you don't mind that I did this, and anywhere they're shown or used by me will have your name in close tail. [link]
The only thing that really suffered was the face. When/if I get around to colouring it, I'll make it look purdy again.
Hey, that looks pretty cool Me likey. Probably with the face, just getting rid of the line of the teeth will help a bit -- but you're the pixel artist not me. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
A NEW NOTE!
I've gone no further in my shading; I was working on other things. HOWEVER, upon showing my progress on your lines in a forum I go to, I was asked for permission from others to use your lines. I don't feel comfortable at all letting them use "my" lines without your consent, so I'm asking on my, your, and their ('splain THAT one, ha) behalf if I could offer the lines up HERE: [link]N=3
'Tis "The lines den" thread of a pixeller-friendly forum. The idea is that people provide lines for others to colour if they feel so inclined. I'd love it if you'd let me, but I can understand if this is taking it too far out of your view.
Very close to done. 25ish colours, still haven't Anti-Aliased everything, and a couple of colours are too similar to... justify existence. [link]
Yap. Hopefully I didn't misinterpret anything.
Thanks! Yeah, I'm trying to find a slightly new style for my comics and stuff, aiming for a stronger and mroe defined lines. Commitment is an issue for me in many respects, and it shows up in the light and tenuous lines of a lot of my pen work -- heavy lines intimidate me somewhat, if that makes any sense.
I've never seen Silverfish, but that does look a happy character. As for varying your technique, I applaud you, its so easy to get stuck doing the same thing over and over.

Not completely happy with how the metal is coming, and a couple of colours are subject to changes. I'll keep you updated.
