Look Out Below?

Another one for the #draweverythingjune challenge.  I hope other artists are less last minute than I, else poor SenshiStock 's inbox is going to be absolutely inundated as the month comes to a close.

Anyway, had to bail out of this one, I was starting to make it worse with every stroke, and hate it more with each one too.   I don't know how to paint paint, apparently.  (That's supposed to be paint in that bucket... it would have been a lot easier to 'sell' if it was in colour.)  No time to learn right now.

Note the fall of the tackle belayed in a bosun's hitch around the hook of the block.  This allows the person using the bosun's chair to haul themselves up or let themselves down without being dependent on an assistant; haul or let go the fall, and belay it to the hook at the desired position.  (The tackle must be rigged from the main yard in this case, given the positioning.)  I think this is the only part of the painting I like.

Some images just don't come out in quality commensurate with time put in, alas.
